Oh for a thousand board feet of this!!!

What would I sacrifice?  Plenty!  Yes, it’s expensive but, more importantly, nearly impossible to find.  This piece of exotic extremely curly Koa became a Master Works instrument after I found it stored behind a set of kilns in the middle of Ohio at a HUGE wood distributor.  I was allowed to slip in to check out their private stock when they realized what we build.  I got all I could afford, several thousand dollars worth, and stuck in the few little corners of the Ascender already full of instruments.  I got a picture when I got home just to remind me how precious this golden wood is.  I’ll see if I can find it and attach it to this photo.
