Merla and I were vacationing a few days between shows out east the fall of 06.  Merla loves civil war history so up to Pennsylvania we go.  The weather was fabulous.  One thing we weren’t expecting was all the magnificent monuments provided by the various states in honor of their fallen soldiers.  There was tons of information about how the battles progressed and the strategies of the generals.  There are students from all over the world who come to study this battleground and its history.  The town was very interesting as well.  Merla was still wearing her ankle splint boot because of her ankle injury which limited our walking but tour buses helped us have a wonderful experience.
