The Pioneer Package

Webster’s dictionary defines “pioneer” as “one who goes before, preparing the way for others, as an early settler”. With this definition in mind, we’ve named our new 15-14 package the “Pioneer”. This new model is a simpler version of our famous 15-14 full sized model. The “pioneer” is constructed with a Laminated Finland Birch (originally designed and produced for aircraft construction) top and back, Maple bridges and Ash endrails and stained all over (black). The package includes an X-brace sitdown stand, case and electronic tuner and sells for $679. We’re really excited to offer beginners a complete package that provides a full range instrument with a bigger voice versus any 12-11. The “Pioneer” should not be compared directly to the voice of the tapered soundboard and rosewood bridges of our regular full-size 15-14 model that sounds so magnificent. The Sapelli Pioneer

This is the same great instrument as the regular Pioneer but with a wonderful advantage. Instead of a 3/8 inch laminated Birch soundboard, it has been replaced with gorgeous solid vertical grain Sapelli wood. Sapelli is known to be very similar to Mahogany. It is somewhat harder and heavier than Mahogany but much more readily available and easy to work. It is consistent in color and grain. This soundboard is also tapered like the regular Pioneer. For just a bit more of an investment, get an instrument that sounds much better to start with and will improve over time more so than a laminated top. This package includes the same great accessories as the regular Pioneer Package lightweight case, stand, student hammers, tuning wrench, tuner, and an Understanding and Fine Tuning Booklet. Only $769!
